Lower East Side Tenement Museum,
90 Orchard Street on Manhattan.

The Visitors Center (bookshop etc) is open 
Monday-Sunday 11 AM-5.30 PM. Internet: www.tenement.org 
The best part is the tour of the old tenement house from 1863, where immigrants from the Old World lived.
