The International Union of Tenants (IUT) has presented a strong and socially grounded response to Europe’s deepening housing crisis at the EU Informal Ministerial Meeting for Housing in Nicosia, Cyprus. In a statement delivered by IUT Board Member Zeno Winkels, IUT calls on European leaders to prioritize long-term affordability, stronger tenant protections, and socially conditioned investment as essential pillars of a fair housing policy across Europe.
