Ivory Coast

In the Ivory Coast we have one associate member, Alliance Ivoirienne pour l ́Habitat, AIH. It was founded in 2008 with the objective to defend the right to housing. The Ivory Coast’s rental housing market is heavily concentrated in the capital of Abidjan, where rapid urbanisation and a large housing deficit keep rents rising and vacancy rates low. Demand consistently outstrips supply, especially in central districts, while much of the rental sector remains informal with limited tenant protections and uneven affordability for low-income households.
