Inclusive United Cities for All, UN with Leilani Fahra, online event 31 October

To celebrate the World Cities Day, UN DESA’s Division for Inclusive Social Development is organizing a special event on “Inclusive United Cities for All” in collaboration with the New York Mayor’s Office. The event will take place on 31 October 2019 in Conference Room 12, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

This year, we will focus on affordable housing and homelessness. The event aims to provide a platform to share concrete recommendations on addressing homelessness, with a focus on affordable housing measures at the local levels. The event will focus on strategies and measures taken at the local level to address/end homelessness and share good practices and lessons learned to address the specific needs of vulnerable groups and individuals who live in the margins of society, within the context of the 2030 Agenda.
