Housing for all: a call for a renewed European ambition

On 19th September, the Metropolis of Lyon, the European Parliament’s urban intergroup, Housing Europe, Eurocities, and FEANTSA will call for a renewed European ambition for affordable housing in the next EU policy cycle. The roundtable event will take place in the European Parliament in Brussels.

Aiming at providing political impetus for the 2024-2029 European Commission and European Parliament mandates, this high-level event will tackle three different aspects of the housing crisis: 1) the difficulty for lower-income “front-line” workers to find affordable housing; 2) homelessness, and indecent housing; 3) the issue of the financialisation of housing and its impact in cities.
