On the 12th of April 2024, the European Council formally adopted a revised directive on the energy performance of buildings, which will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and energy poverty in the EU.

– After 3 years of controversial debates and a lot of work for IUT we reached the finish line! For the first time, social safeguards for tenants are part of the EPBD, says Barbara Steenbergen, head of IUT EU liaison office.
