Shelterforce, all about tenants on youtube

There’s no denying it—the tenant organizing movement is incredibly active, and more powerful than it’s been in decades.

 

More and more folks are talking about, and fighting for, things like rent stabilization and good cause eviction policies, and access to free representation in housing court. Shelterforce highlighted several tenant wins across the country in the recent Under the Lens series Tenant Power Returns, which ran at the tail end of 2022. We explored the history of the tenants movement, the policies folks are fighting for, lessons from organizers, the fine print in rental leases, and lots more.
